Michael E. Labelle, 66, of Biddeford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 31, 1955, son to Arthur and Antoinette (Lamirande) Labelle.

Michael graduated from Thornton Academy, class of 1973. He then graduated from Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1975.

Michael married his wife Janice Sayer on August 9, 1975. They raised two lovely girls together.

He was employed by Corning in the Life Sciences division, providing quality innovative products for life science applications that were used in life changing discoveries. Michael did this for 27 years, retiring in August of 2020.

Michael was a music enthusiast throughout his life, his journey starting many years ago. As time went on, his passion for music continued to grow. He played with a number of bands, including Black Hart and the Motivators, just to name a couple. Music touched his inner core while playing the keyboard, harmonica or singing.

Michael had other hobbies outside of music. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and taking rides in his Mustang convertible with his wife.

Most of all, Michael loved his family and the time they spent together. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Janice Labelle, daughter Karyn Labrie, her husband Cory and their daughter Katherine and daughter Jessica Bailey, her husband Jeremy and their daughters Hannah, Chelsea and Brianne. He is also survived by his brother Robert Labelle and his wife Sandra, nieces and nephews.
