Mignonne "Mickey" Lamb

Mignonne F. Lamb, 90, of Saco, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at home.

She was born and raised in Biddeford on December 30, 1933, a daughter of Beatrice and Wilfred Gregoire.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, class of 1954. She also graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School in 1959. She later received her Master's Degree from Boston College.

Mignonne was employed by Maine Medical Center in Portland for 40 years, retiring in 2010.

She was very athletic. She enjoyed skiing, volleyball, bowling and tennis. Most recently she played lots of pickleball. She was an accomplished pianist and also played the cello.

Mickey was always willing to better her community. She would volunteer for worthy causes within the organization Altrusa International of Greater Biddeford – Saco.

Mickey was an advocate of higher education. This was something she instilled in her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one sister Rachel Lamb and by two brothers Richard Lamb and Francis Mark Gregoire.

She is survived by three sisters Joan Brooks and partner Walter Clark, Carol Camire and husband Renald and Priscilla Lamb, sister in law Judy Gregoire, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM – 12:45PM Monday, July 29, 2024, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM Monday, July 29, 2024, at Most Holy Trinity Church, Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Biddeford.
