Nancy M. Kiernan, 82, of Biddeford, passed away Tuesday evening on October 6, 2026 at St. Andre Healthcare in Biddeford.
She was born in Portland, Maine on June 30, 1944, a daughter of Guy and Helen (Burrowes) Winchester, the youngest of 10 children. She was educated at Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine.
Nancy was employed in manufacturing for several years until the family moved to Massachusetts. Changing scenery again, they moved to California and then to Florida. Missing home, the family moved back Maine and settled in Biddeford, where Nancy spent the last 30 years.
When time permitted in Nancy’s busy life, she enjoyed bingo and penny slots at the casinos. She also loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every night. As a sports lover she loved to ski and caught as many Red Sox games as possible. She even coached a little league softball team in Buxton. But most of all, Nancy loved her family and the time they spent together. Her favorite pastimes where watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren’s school activities and attending their sporting events. She will be forever missed.
She was predeceased by 9 siblings, Donna, Eleanor, Richard, Roger, Frank, Bob, William, Claude and Carl.
She is survived and missed dearly by two children William E. Kiernan Jr. and wife Susan and Tammy Harriman. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Adam Kiernan, Tricha Hafford, Peter Rowe, Ann Marie Silkman, Crystal Boucher, Matt Adams and Shelby Cook and 12 great grandchildren Addy Boucher, Gabriella Hews, Lillien Rowe, Cameron Rowe, Caleb Kiernan, Raelynn Boucher, Jonathan Silkman, Valerie-Paige Hafford, Austin Cook, Julianna Silkman Raegan Rowe, and Emelia Adams.
