Norman C. Fournier, 73, of Biddeford, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Biddeford on May 22, 1949, a son of Charles and Irene (Bissonnette) Fournier.

Norman graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1967. Within three days of graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and was off to serve his country. He proudly served in the 101 st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) that specializes in air assault operations.

On July 7, 1972, he married the love of his life Denise (Boucher) Fournier.

Earlier, Norman was employed by Maremont Corporation and Shape Incorporated. He continued his education and worked as an insurance agent for MetLife  until 1975. Norman went on to a 29 year career with Pratt & Whitney, retiring in 2006. Norman often worked third shift to spend time with his family during the day watching his children and grand children's sporting events and school activities. He will be remembered by his sons as one special coach and by his daughters as a backstage dad during performances. He will be sadly missed.

Norman had many interesting hobbies. He followed the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He had interest in art, history and trivia. He was an avid reader and enjoyed a wide variety of music. Animals also had a special place in Norman's heart. His favorite pastime was traveling and going on cruises with his beloved wife. One of their best trips was a cruise to Nova Scotia.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Denise Fournier and four children Benjamin Fournier and wife Joddie, Joseph Fournier and wife Megan, Victoria MacKenzie and husband Evan and Katherine Fournier and Jeremy Dalton. He is also survived by four grandchildren Allyson, Abbigail, Ellie and Cooper, one brother Ricky Fournier, nieces and nephews.
