Orella P. Milliard

Biddeford

Orella P. Milliard, 97, of Biddeford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, at St. Andre's Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Madawaska on April 11, 1928, a daughter of Vital and Sadie (Dube) Morin.  She received her education from the Parochial School in Madawaska. In early 1943, her family relocated to Biddeford.  She soon went to work for Saco-Lowell Shops. It was during her time at Saco-Lowell where she met her husband, Euclid "Pete" Milliard.  They married on October 6, 1946, and settled in Saco, where they raised their four children.

From 1957 to 2001, Orella owned and managed an apartment building in Old Orchard Beach, renting units weekly to summer tourists and seasonally during the winter months.

Orella and Pete enjoyed taking day trips to the White Mountains, especially during foliage season.  She took pleasure in knitting items for her loved ones, and she was a wonderful cook.

Most of all, Orella loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by many.

She was predeceased by her husband, Euclid "Pete" Milliard; by three children, David Milliard, Bruce Milliard, and Helen Burgess; by six brothers, Joseph, Gerald, Gilman, John-Paul, Ronald, and Robert; and by her sister, Fernande.

She is survived by her son, Richard, and wife Ann; by three sisters, Geraldine Soulliere, Rina Williams, and Alfreda "Kit" Schmidt; by her three Grandchildren, Samantha, Karla, and Matthew; by seven great-grandchildren; as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
