Obituary

Paul D. Howe

Paul D. Howe, 77, of Saco, passed away after a long illness with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at St. Andre's Healthcare Facility in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on September 6, 1944, a son of Myron and Jeannette (Dauphinais) Howe. He graduated from Biddeford High School.

Paul married his loving wife Rita (Blais) Howe on July 31, 1965. They raised three children together and had six grandchildren until she passed away on June 20, 2017.

Paul had an extensive work resume. He was employed by Seal Rock Bottling Company, was the produce manager at Shaw's, worked at Jolly John's and retired from D&M Distributors in 2013.

Paul enjoyed sports and had many interesting hobbies. He liked golfing and fishing and spent time reading, painting and playing cards. He also worked many hours on his property doing yard work and gardening. When time permitted, he was a regular at Scarborough Downs. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandson. The family has made many special memories that they will hold on to and cherish forever. He will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Rita Howe and siblings Donald, Raymond, Francais, Theresa, Norman and Freddie.

He is survived by his second wife Paulette Millette Howe, (married on January 1, 2020), three children Dennis Howe and wife Susan, Lorie Menard and husband Bob, Debbie Arnold and husband Glen, six grandchildren Amanda, Dilan, Alex, Sarah, Kordell and Kylie and great grandson Logan. He is also survived by five siblings Pat Roberts and husband Bob, Sandra Buzzell, Nancy Kindler and husband Warren, Robert and wife Judy and Donna Lasczak and several nieces and nephews.
