Pauline (Brochu) Arbour

Pauline B. Arbour, 90, of Saco, passed away Wednesday evening on April 13, 2022, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Biddeford on April 30, 1931, a daughter of Jeffrey and Dorelis (Bachand) Brochu. Pauline attended St. Mary's Elementary School and graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1949.

On April 19, 1952, she married Normand L. Arbour at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Pauline was employed by the McArthur Public Library in Biddeford for 28 years until 1977. She continued her working career as a dietician assistant for 5 years with Philomene Center until 1982 and later spent five years with Beach Street Child Care in Saco.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling together. They spent winters in Florida after her husband's retirement from the Biddeford Police Department where he served for 29 years. Some of their most precious memories were spending time together at home and in their pool, especially when their children and grandchildren joined them. Holidays were very special for them since the whole family would get together to celebrate. Many loving memories were made that the family will hold on to and cherish forever.

Pauline and her husband Normand Sr. were married for 47 years until his death in 1999.

Surviving are their four sons, Michael and his wife Gerri of Arundel, Maine, Brian and his wife Pat of Louden, New Hampshire, Marc and his wife Ann of Biddeford, Maine, and Normand, Jr. and his wife Terry of West Palm Beach, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Shawn, Amy, Ashley and Jeffrey, seven great grandchildren, Timothy, James, Aden, Devin, Damien, Chase and Daisy and five step grandchildren, Missy, Kayla, Tyler, Chrissy and Owen.

Visiting Hours will be from 9-11AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022, with a Funeral Service at 11AM Wednesday at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco.
