Dec 14, 1931 — Jul 27, 2022
Pauline Laverriere
Biddeford
Pauline Laverriere, 90, of Biddeford, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on July 27, 2022.
Pauline was born in Plainfield, Connecticut in December of 1931, first born to Oscar and Florence (Roy) Labrie. She was educated in the Plainfield school system until the age of thirteen when her family relocated to New Hampshire, and eventually settling in the Biddeford – Saco area, where she completed her education at Saint Joseph's school.
As a young lady she worked at Biddeford Textile where she met her beau Leo. Pauline and Leo married six months after meeting on April 26, 1952. It was a joyful and fun filled union that endured for 70 years. Their successful marriage resulted in six wonderful children: Normand, Sandra, Cynthia, Jane, Donna, and Lynn.
Pauline was an uncomplicated woman who was perpetually cheerful with the sunniest of dispositions. She was content to sit on her front porch with a word search puzzlebook in hand while enjoying a cup of coffee with Leo.
Pauline was fortunate to have enjoyed 28 years of retirement bliss. She and Leo reveled in traveling, dining out, family celebrations and fellowship at the Ross Community Center.
She was well known for buying treats and surprises for neighborhood children. She was remarkably generous in spirit and deeds. Her warm caring nature and big heart were felt by all who knew her. Most of all, Pauline loved being surrounded by her family, enjoying too many laughs and countless amazing meals.
She is survived by her dear husband Leo; her children and their partners: Normand and Roberta Laverriere, Sandra and John Sullivan, Cynthia Pinette and Lauren Emerson, Jane and Norm Provencher, Donna and Mark Metayer, Lynn and Frank Cavalieri; eleven grandchildren: Tina, Stephanie, Tracey, Kelly, Jeffrey, John, Heather, Kasie, Jacob, Maxwell, Addison; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Yvette, brother Fern, and her beloved marmalade cat, Morris.
She was predeceased by her parents Oscar and Florence, brother Andy, and great-granddaughter, Gabrielle.
Visitation will be from 11:00AM-1:00PM with a Funeral Service at 1:00PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. In consideration of the current circumstances, the family asks that you please wear a mask during visiting hours. Graveside will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
Donations can be made in Pauline's name to the Animal Welfare Society, 46 Holland Road, Kennebunk, Maine.
