Philip W. Frenette, 80, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Old Orchard Beach on November 2, 1941, a son of Anthony and Adrienne (Gagne) Frenette. He was educated from Biddeford schools.

On March 5, 1960, he married his wife Priscille Morin in Biddeford.

Philip had an extensive work resume and was a man of many talents. He was from the generation of hard work. Earlier, Philip was a salesman for Fullerbrush throughout York County. He also worked as a carpenter doing remodels, repairs and woodworking. Some of his projects are still being admired today. He has made cabinets, dressers, a large crucifix for one local church and even a row boat in his younger days, just to name a few. Later, he owned and operated an auto dealership in Dayton and Waterboro with his son. Philip ran this business as a mechanic, salesman and was always willing to work with his client's needs. He was known for putting business aside and doing whatever his customer needed. He also was proprietor of Alfred Street Furniture Store in Biddeford for several years with his wife Priscille.

Philip found great joy after a long day at work to dress up, look his best and put on his favorite clothes. He cherished this time and especially the time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

When Philip was not hard at work, he found time to race around the dirt track at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, ride his motorcycle and do some traveling. Winters in Florida were some of his favorite pastimes.

He was predeceased by siblings Tony, Roland, Rita and Violet.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Priscille Frenette, son Ricky Frenette of North Carolina and daughter Christine Cloutier and husband Heath of Old Orchard Beach. He is also survived by four grandchildren Nicholas, Ricky Jr., Corey and Morgan, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
