Priscilla E. Heffernan, 77, of Arundel, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on the morning of Thursday, March 26th, 2026, at her home in Arundel.

Priscilla was born in Saco on November 21st, 1948, a daughter to Rene and Lorraine (Boudreau) Poisson. She was raised in Biddeford alongside her four siblings and graduated from St. Andre's High School, class of 1967.

During her time at St. Andre High School, she met William "Bill" Heffernan following a car accident involving the two of them. After many apologies and exchanging contact information, the two grew closer and later married on April 12,1969. Together they raised their daughter and son. Priscilla lived in Maine for most of her life, though she briefly moved with Bill to South Carolina for his military service.

For a period of time, she was employed at UNUM in South Portland. Later, she worked as a Clerical Office Administrator for the Franciscan monastery in Kennebunkport.

They greatly enjoyed traveling, including visiting Spain, Portugal, Italy, and taking cruises. They spent a lot of time exploring the United States and made many friends in their travels. In their later years, they dedicated time to going camping in northern Maine.

Priscilla was well known for her creativity. She would often knit and crochet in her spare time and, she loved sharing her creations with her loved ones. She also dabbled in painting, jewelry making, and sewing. She loved getting out and sharing fun outings to the casino with her close friends Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured always.. She will be missed by all who came to know her.

Priscilla was predeceased by her mother: Lorraine (Boudreau) Poisson, her father: Rene Poisson, and her sister: Reinette Martin.

Priscilla is survived by her husband: William "Bill" Heffernan, her daughter: Lisa Lyons and husband John, her son: Kevin Heffernan and wife Brianna, her sisters: Claire Moreau and husband Joseph "Lou", and Ann Marie Katon and husband David, her brother: Gerald "Gerry" Poisson and partner Karen, her grandchildren: Elyse Ericson, Mikaela Colburn, Haley Heffernan, and Jocelyn Heffernan, and great-grandchildren: Livinia, Octavia, Elliot, and William.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at St. Martha's Church, Kennebunk. A Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford.
