Reinette L. Maxson

Biddeford

Reinette Maxson (Labarre), 87, of Biddeford, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

She was born in Biddeford on November 9, 1935, to Edmond and Aurore (Binette) Labarre. She was educated in Saco at Notre Dame de Lourdes School and graduated from St. Andre's High School.

Reinette married Edward Maxson on June 16, 1962.  They raised their son, John Maxson, in Biddeford.

She worked as an office manager for Dr. Marcel Paul Houle for many years. In her later years, she worked at the Saco/Biddeford diocese Parish office and served funeral lunches at St. Joseph's Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Reinette was a lady of great faith and a devoted follower of Christ. She loved time with her family and friends, doing word search puzzles and playing bingo.

Reinette was predeceased by her husband, Edward Maxson, son John Maxson, Sister, Gloriette DesRoberts, and brother, Fr. Renald Labarre.

She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Wagner of Gray, granddaughter  Jessica Lee of Brooklyn, New York, brother-in-law Richard DesRoberts of Old Orchard Beach, niece Michelle DiSotto and her children Jack and Gianna of Scarborough, and a nephew Kevin DesRoberts and his wife Amy and daughters Lilly, Lindsay, and Lucy of Saco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford. To view Reinette's memorial page or leave an online condolence, please visit www.cotefuneralhome.com
