Obituary

Renald "Ti-Boute"  Beaulieu

Lyman

Renald Beaulieu, 80, of Lyman, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Renald was born in Packington, Quebec on June 9, 1945, the first of thirteen children to Wilfrid and Rita Beaulieu. He received his elementary education from the parish Catholic School.  In 1965 Renald moved to Biddeford and immediately found employment at West Point Pepperrell.  It was during his time at the textile mill where he met the love of his life, Rollande Sylvain.  The couple married on September 5, 1970. A few years later they bought a home in Lyman, where they raised their two children, Brian and Christine.

After working for West Point Pepperrell for three years, Renald then went to work for various concrete foundation contractors.  He later transitioned to Dube Drywall where he delivered drywall for twelve years.  His last place of employment was with Biddeford Textile where he remained for five years until he was forced to retire for medical reasons.

Renald had many interests and hobbies.  He enjoyed spending time tinkering in his garage, and finding purposes and homes for many of the things he repaired.  He had a passion for deer hunting in Southern Maine, and was also fortunate to go on a couple of Moose hunts in the Moosehead Lake region with his son Brian.  Renald and Rollande took many summer vacations to Quebec, and spent several weeks every winter in Florida to visit their daughter Christine and her family. Renald also enjoyed playing cards with family and going to casinos where he occasionally came home with winnings. He loved sitting and sleeping in the sun, going on drives to the beach and getting coffee and was always willing to help anyone with projects big or small.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed by many.

Renald is predeceased by his parents, and by two brothers.

Renald is survived by his loving wife, Rollande Beaulieu of 54 years; by his son Brian and wife Deborah; by his daughter Christine Henkelman and husband Gary; and by his three grandchildren: Madelyn Henkelman, Ainsley Henkelman, and Hannah Beaulieu.  He is also survived by two brothers and eight sisters; as well as by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11AM – 1PM, with a Funeral Service at 1PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford.
