Reno "Pete" Dube

Reno "Pete" Dube, 92, longtime resident of Biddeford, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, in Biddeford.

He was born in Madawaska on November 28, 1931, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Chasse) Dube. At a young age, Reno moved to Biddeford with his large family and was educated from Biddeford schools.

Pete was a man from the generation of hard work. He was employed in manufacturing by day and worked carpentry at night with his father Joe. He married his wife Nancy Boucher on February 21, 1981. He later was employed by Biddeford High School for 35 years, retiring in 1996. "Pistol Pete" as the students called him, had developed a great rapport with students. He cherished this and the friendships he developed over the years.

A man of many talents, Pete was a master woodworker, he could build and fix anything. He also was a fabricator and could modify automobiles before it was even a thing. He was quite the roller skater, even made his own pair of skates. His creations are still being admired and enjoyed by family and friends today.

He was predeceased by siblings, Pee Wee, Boy, Bernie, Reggie, Kit, Joe, Elizabeth, Leonie, Oliva and Jeannette.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Dube, children Dolores Houde and husband Scott, Donna Michaud and husband Robert, Daniel Dube and wife Rebecca and Randy Fecteau and wife Heather and grandchildren Alexis, Ethan, Isaiah, Courtney, Sarah, Brian, Jason, Darlene and Mindy. He is also survived by one sibling Rita Lambert, nieces and nephews.
