Reny L. Remillard Jr.
Reny L. Remillard Jr., 72, a resident of Lewiston and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Rumford Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on February 5, 1951 in Biddeford, the son of Reny Remillard Sr and Georgia A. Remillard. Reny grew up in Old Orchard Beach. He helped his father Reny L. Remillard Sr. with the family business by assisting in recycling old wire and other small projects. Many years ago, he enjoyed working at Creative Works Systems with his older brother Larry and his nephew Michael. He enjoyed making and collecting model and cars and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley. He was also a huge New England Patriots and Boston Redsox fan. Mr. Remillard had many friends at the home he was living at in Lewiston. He enjoyed going on local day trips into the community. Mr. Remillard was a Knight of Columbus and a member of the VFW and American Legion in Old Orchard Beach. He was a parishioner of Saint Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach.
He was predeceased by his Mother, Georgia Lewis Remillard, on Oct. 28, 2000, and by his Father Reny L. Remillard Sr. August 10, 2009. He was also predeceased by his sister Judy A. Verrier on June 1, 2004, and his brother Lawrence Blanchette on April 12, 2008.
Reny is survived by his brother-in-law, Gerald Verrier of Old Orchard Beach; and two nephews, David Verrier of Windham, and Michael Verrier of Portland.
Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 22nd, 2024 at Cote Funeral Home, corner of Beach and James St., Saco. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
