Richard G. Lamontagne

Richard G. Lamontagne, 74, of Waterboro, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on March 9, 1947, a son of Lucien and Adrienne (Labrecque) Lamontagne. He was educated from Biddeford schools.

Richard served for three years in the United States Army doing two tours in Vietnam. He later went in the United States Navy serving 20 years, retiring in 1990. While in the service Richard was the recipient of a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars.

During retirement he was busy with various jobs, with the United States Postal Service, VA Home in Scarborough and Car Quest in Biddeford.

Richard had many hobbies including fishing, camping, gardening, watching TV Westerns and scuba diving. He also was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team the Montreal Canadians.

Mr. Lamontagne was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post 1.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of fourteen years, Diana A. (Perry) Lamontagne, five children, Tammy Desrosiers and Jake Wallace, Becky Morse and husband Joseph Miller, Mandy Bracy and wife Deanna, Richard King Jr. and wife Crystal and Angela Blanco and nine grandchildren, Skyler, Bellamy, Madison, Shelbey, Timothy, Trinity, Casey, Jacob and Emma and one great grandson Monty

He is also survived by three siblings, Lionel "Tinou" Lamontagne and wife Denise, Guy Lamontagne and wife Terry and Rachel Lamontagne Bolduc and Dave Fortier.
