Obituary

Rita (Bolduc) Morin

Biddeford

Rita Doris (Bolduc) Morin, 84, of Biddeford, Maine, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Rita was born in Biddeford on June 25, 1937, a daughter of Arthur and Alphonsine (Collette) Bolduc.

Rita met her husband, Gerard R. Morin Sr., at a bowling alley in Biddeford and their courtship prospered and carried on through written letters as Gerard served our country overseas. They married on October 26, 1957, at Saint Joseph's Church.

Rita enjoyed bowling, ceramics, vegetable gardening and canning, and she was an avid card player. Rita looked forward to and enjoyed family BBQ's and dining out with her husband and their friends. Her most special moments were spending time with her family. She loved to be part of holidays, birthdays, and all celebrations. Rita enjoyed traveling with her husband to Europe, the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, and across America. Rita loved beaches and warmer summer days.

Rita was an exceptional mother who took care of her family. She treasured Saturdays and Sundays enjoying visits when her kids and grandkids came to the house.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gerard R. Morin Sr. and her five children, Deborah Leavitt (and her husband Ron), Brenda Gobeil (and her husband Mike), Gail Allaire (and her husband Norm), Glenn Morin, and Gerard Morin Jr. (and his wife Lisa); by her siblings – Estelle (Bolduc) Morrisette, Priscilla (Bolduc) Lessard, Violet (Bolduc) Beaudoin, Clement Bolduc (and his wife Marguerite), and Helen (Bolduc) Brouillette and (her husband Ronald). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jill (Labelle) Gagne, Charity (Labelle) Pelletier, Chris Leavitt, Rhonda Leavitt, Chris Gobeil, Dana Gobeil, Amy (Allaire) Blais, Andrew Allaire, and Sydney Morin. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren: Saige Gagne, Cole Gagne, Kalvin Camire, Chase Strout, Charlie Leavitt, Cooper Leavitt, Deliah Gobeil, Lydia Gobeil, Tyler Blais, Cameron Blais, and Addison Allaire.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
