Rita J. Roberge

Rita J. Roberge, 90, of Biddeford, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Biddeford Estates.

Rita was born in Biddeford on March 28, 1934, a daughter of Adrien and Alice (Laverdiere) Bergeron. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, class of 1953.

Rita married her beloved husband Aime Roberge on May 29, 1954.  They settled in Biddeford where they raised their four children.

In her early years Rita went to work for Reilly's Bakery, and remained there for 17 years.  She later spent three years at the Pepperell Mill, and then transitioned to Southern Maine Medical Center for seven years until her retirement.

Rita was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Church, in Good Shepherd Parish.

Rita's hobbies were numerous, but some of the more notable ones included playing BINGO, taking trips to Foxwoods Casino, and shopping with her daughters. Most of all she loved the time spent with family and friends, especially the time she shared with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many.

Rita is predeceased by her husband, Aime Roberge in 2004; by her brother Edmond Bergeron, and by her sister Muriel Tevanian.

She is survived by her children, Jim Roberge (Kris), Sandy Caparratto, Nancie Roberge, and Barbara Casey (Gordon); seven grandchildren: Melissa, Jen, Tim, Jessica, Ryan, Shauna, and Alex; by 9 great-grandchildren: Scarlette, Ivy, Leila, Liana, Lincoln, Ava, Kadyn, Kayne, and Liam.

Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM, with a Funeral Service at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rita's name to Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.
