Robert "Bob" Aldrich, 79, Lyman, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Scarborough.

He was born in Rochester, New York on November 9, 1941, a son of Clyde and Rose (Hack) Aldrich. The house Bob grew up in is still in the family today. He enjoyed his childhood spending many summers at the family cottage on Port Bay, a part of Lake Ontario. This included lots of hunting deer, rabbit and fishing with his father too.

Bob was employed as a long haul truck driver for many years where he would haul swinging meats, kosher meat, and McCain French Fries from Aroostook County throughout the United States. He had many interesting stories to tell. One of his favorites was while picking up a load of french fries, they would give him a rod and reel and some hot dogs to go fishing while he waited as his truck was loaded. When he retired from long haul driving, he settled in Portland, Maine. Working as a bouncer for Yesterday Bar in the Old Port, he met his soul mate, the love of his life, Kim.  They spent 40 years together, 30 of them married.

He later worked for Dirigo Distributors which is currently Nappi Distributors, delivering beer and wine.  He also installed and serviced the tap systems in many of the local bars and restaurants throughout Southern Maine. Bob retired from Patriot Delivery where he was a courier for several years, delivering payroll to the Seven Eleven stores in Maine and New Hampshire.

Bob eventually settled in Lyman, where he and Kim have lived for 30 years. His favorite pastimes were watching football, which also included a little bit of wagering with friends. He especially loved spending time at Kim's family's camp on Little Sebago, boating, jet skiing and fishing. Bob loved to be outside and had great friends. They had many great adventures and snowmobiling trips to Jackman.

He was predeceased by his parents Rose and Clyde, his brother Ken and daughter Theresa Aldrich.

He is survived by his current wife Kim Aldrich and his former wife Elaine Reynolds, son Michael DeMay,  grandson Patrick,Tyler and Zachery DeMay, daughter Maureen Thibeau and son in law David,  granddaughter Sarah Muhl, Kayle Thibeau and grandson DJ Thibeau and son Mark DeMay and his wife Darla.  He is also survived by his cousin Mary Ann Fishbaugh and her three children, Laura, Darren and Alaina.
