Robert A. Doyon, 73, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, with his family by his side at home.

He was born in Biddeford on December 5, 1949, a son of Aime and Beverly (Hight) Doyon. He graduated from Thornton Academy, class of 1969.

Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

After the service, Bob began his career in the construction industry. He was self employed and built homes, did all types of repairs and specialized in hard wood flooring for many years. Bob's hard work and craftsmanship is still being admired today by many throughout Southern Maine. He was quick to make conversation or to make a friend. He appreciated the relationships he made with his customers who became his friends. He will be sadly missed.

Bob had many interesting hobbies. He had a great love for the outdoors whether he was riding his motorcycles with friends on the open road, taking road trips or feeding his many birds in the back yard, he enjoyed being outside. He also liked watching Jeopardy following football and Nascar.

He cherished the time he spent with his companion Millie and with his neighbors who became his closest friends. He loved his dog Jesse and cat Muffin and the enjoyment they gave him.

He was predeceased by three brothers John, Mark and James Doyon.

He is survived by his two daughters Robin Richardson and Crystal Bishop, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his significant other Millie Blanchette. He is also survived by siblings Linda Violette, Joseph Doyon, Mary Paquette, Richard Doyon and wife Diane and Ellen Doyon, many nieces and nephews.

Services are private. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
