May 6, 1933 — Oct 31, 2025
Robert A. Dubuc
Old Orchard Beach
Robert "Bob" Dubuc, 92, of Old Orchard Beach and formerly of Saco, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in St. Pierre Baptiste, Quebec, Canada, on May 6, 1933, he was the son of Louis and Rose (Letellier) Dubuc. On August 4, 1962, Bob married the love of his life, Georgette Belanger, in Lyster, Quebec. The couple moved to the United States later that year, settling in Maine to begin their life together.
Bob grew up on his family's farm, where he developed a strong work ethic alongside his brothers, Herve and Raymond. He learned carpentry at a young age from his grandfather, Gideon Dubuc and also worked as a lumberjack while living in Canada. After moving to Maine, Bob was employed at the Saco Tannery before pursuing his true calling as a carpenter—a trade he practiced for the rest of his career. Over the years, he also mastered electrical and plumbing work and later became an entrepreneur, operating their hotel after his retirement. Bob and Georgette enjoyed several years living in Florida before eventually returning to Maine to be close to family.
An avid camper, Bob loved spending time outdoors with family and friends and was always up for a game of bocce ball. He enjoyed entertaining his family by playing songs on his harmonica. Bob will be fondly remembered for his love of family, his vibrant personality, and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob was predeceased by his granddaughter, Amelia Dubuc, and his brother, Herve Dubuc.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgette Dubuc, and their children: Louise Paradis and husband Bob, Monique Charette and husband Michael, Jocelyn Stubinski and husband Jim, Julie Dubuc, Pierre Dubuc and wife Dede, and Patrick Dubuc and wife Heather. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren—Erica, Brittany, Alissa, Kendra, Ryan, Jesse, Kyle, Khloe, Charlotte, Dakota, Benoit, and Bailey—and six great-grandchildren: Arianna, Braxton, Everett, Vivian, Ava, and Cecelia. Bob is also survived by his brother Raymond Dubuc and wife Huguette, along with several nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Interment will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
