Robert A. Johnson, 93, of Saco, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Maine Veteran's Home in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on January 14, 1929, a son of Antoinette and Samuel Johnson. He was educated from Biddeford schools.

Robert served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He married his wife Dorothy Maksut on December 17, 1949.

Robert was employed by Pepperell Manufacturing in Biddeford for 20 years. In 1994, he retired from B&M Baked Beans in Portland after 20 years of service.

When Robert had spare time he enjoyed deer hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. He will be sadly missed.

Robert was predeceased by his wife Dorothy on February 15, 2012 and by four brothers Gerard, Paul, Roland and Richard and by one sister Pauline.

He is survived by his five children, Dennis Johnson and wife Ginger, Diana Chaloult and husband Ray, Sandra Ethier and husband Donald, Cindy Cordiner and husband Brad and Debby Campbell and husband Stephen. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10-11AM, with a Funeral Service at 11AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco.
