Roberta Gagnon
Bath, NH

Roberta Gagnon, 82, of Bath, New Hampshire, and formerly of Saco, passed away at home on Thursday morning December 29, 2022.
Roberta was born in New Market, New Hampshire on February 3, 1940, a daughter of Frank and Shirley (Harriman) Towns.  She was educated in the Wells school system, and graduated from Wells High School, class of 1959. In April of 1972 Roberta married her beloved husband, Robert Gagnon.   They were married 6 years until his passing in 1978.
Roberta and Robert began their lives in Wells, and Roberta remained there for a total of 32 years, later moving to the Biddeford-Saco area.  She was from the generation of those who took pride in working hard.  Among the places she worked was Kesslen Shoe Factory in Kennebunk for ten years, and York Manor in Biddeford of seven years.  Roberta retired in 2001.

After her husband Robert passed away she met William Chase in 1980, and was with him until his passing in 2009.

Roberta had many interests and hobbies.  She had a creative side and made many beautiful Arts & Crafts, as well as many crocheted and knitted pieces.  She also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Most of all she cherished family get-togethers and the time spent with her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed by many.

Roberta is predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Frank Towns, her husband,  Robert D. Gagnon, two sisters, Beverly Gagne and Evelyn Grace, her long time companion, William Chase and her beloved step daughter Anna McGlew.

She is survived by her son Paul R. Gagnon, Son in Law Phillip Anderson, two sisters Joyce Beaupre and Rita Beyea, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Biddeford.
