Roger R. Elie, 66, of Biddeford, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on February 15, 1955, a son of Armand and Lorraine (Poirier) Elie.

Roger was employed as a machinist for over 20 years for Maremont Corporation and later Saco Defense, retiring in 2017. As children, his family remembers visiting Roger at work, eating George's Italian sandwiches and spending quality time with him. They cherish these memories and will hold on to them forever.

Roger was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hiking and fishing. He enjoyed spending time at the gym weightlifting. Roger was a born again Christian and attended Lifeway Christian Church for many, many years. His love for the Lord overflowed onto others. He was known for his willingness to help others and was always giving to the less fortunate. He will be sadly missed by many.

He is survived by his six children, Michael R. Elie and his wife Katie, Ricky L. Elie and his wife Michelle, Heidi A. Johnson and her husband Jonathan, Brandi L. Elie, Shelly M. Brooks and her husband Ben and Samuel M. Elie and his wife Kiara. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Kayla and her husband Joe, Dylan, Danika, Robbie and his wife Odelia, Johnny B. and his wife Danielle, Jasmine, LeeChad and his wife Sharon, Jaiden, Cooper, Charlotte, Talan, Sofia, Rebekka and Santei, 11 great grandchildren, Gianna, Monique, Emile, Jaxon, Kennedy, Joey, Kali, Brayden, Adison, Alize and Quentin, several nieces and nephews.
