Roland J. Turgeon

Roland Joseph Turgeon, 76, of Biddeford, passed away Saturday morning, November 5, 2022, in Hollis.

Roland was born in Saint Zacharie, Quebec on July 10, 1946, a son of Rosario and Claura (Parent) Turgeon.  As a young teenager he and his sister Evette moved from Quebec to Maine.  Shortly after moving to the area Roland began working as a lumberjack, a job that we continue with for his whole life, and he never really retired, he worked hard all his life

Roland was known for being quite a handyman.  He was one that always liked to keep busy, and he would constantly help people with any repairs or odd jobs that they needed done.  He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, gardening and camping.  One of his favorite pastimes was to sit around the campfire with family and friends, sharing stories and many laughs.  He will be sadly missed by many.

Roland is predeceased by his parents, daughter, Nancy Turgeon; his three brothers, Armand Turgeon, Ceril Turgeon, and Rosario Turgeon; and his two sisters, Evette Faucher and Margaret Paquette.

Roland is survived by two daughters; Claudette Powers, and Suzanne Moquin and husband Raymond; eight grandchildren, Morgan Moquin, Maddie Moquin, Justin Moquin, Toni Moquin, Braxton Moquin, Devlin Turgeon, Damien Weaver and wife Amanda, and Brianna Turgeon; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Hannah.  Roland is also survived by the mother of his children Ann Maroux, who have remained close over the years; two brothers, Martin Turgeon, and Lionel Turgeon; and one sister, Pauline Champagne.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 9 ^, 2022 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine.
