Romeo Tardif

Romeo A. Tardif, age 96, passed away peacefully at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Born June 12, 1928 to Philip, and Angelina (Lemay) Tardif, he was raised in Saco, the youngest of nine siblings.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille (Cote) Tardif in 2017 and his parents, Philip and Angelina Tardif, and his nine siblings.

Romeo married the love of his life, Lucille in 1973. He worked for the Trade Center as a carpenter until his retirement. Romeo, loved gardening and every spring he would open up his greenhouse and sell vegetables and flowers. He loved mowing his lawn and doing yard work around his house.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeannette and spouse Richard Lagarde, son Kevin Cote, son in-law Jerry Bernier and his wife Carmen, and long time family friend, Mike McDonald. The grandchildren include; Tammy, Matthew, Jesse, Kyle, Troy and Tina. The great grandchildren include; Jayde, Colin, Maxim, Anna, Ayla, Jolee, Addie, Molly, Laine, Griffin, and Aiden. One great-great grandchild, Everett, was just born January 6th.

The family expresses love and thanks to the wonderful staff members in the memory care unit of Seal Rock Healthcare for their kindness, patient care and love that was given to Romeo during his stay there.
