Roosevelt O. Michaud

On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, Roosevelt O. Michaud, 84, of Saco, passed away at The Landing at Saco Bay after a lengthy battle with diabetes and dementia.

He was born in Eagle Lake, Maine on July 22, 1937, the son of Octave Michaud and Emelia Laferreire.

Roosevelt served in the United States Army from December of 1958 until February of 1962, serving several years overseas.

He was employed for many years by Saco Tannery, later known as NKL Tanning Company. Later in his life he was employed at Gabriel Electronics in Scarborough until his retirement. Roosevelt also did carpentry work together with his sons, remodeling many homes in the Saco and Biddeford area.

He loved being outdoors and enjoyed going for very long walks. He also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his birds. He also liked woodworking.

He will be deeply missed by many.

Roosevelt was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church is Saco.

He was recently predeceased by son in law Jimmy Morin.

He is survived by his wife Carole Michaud and his four children; Denise Morin, Bruce Michaud and fiancée Sherri Cyr, Oliver Michaud and wife Linda, Yvonne Bogatses and her husband Jim. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Katy and Sophia Morin, Tyler and Brittany Houde, Andrew and Christina Bogatses.
