Sandra A. Levasseur

Sandra A. Levasseur, 62, of Arundel and formerly of Naples, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Biddeford on December 12, 1960, a daughter of Lucien and Claudia (Hanson) Roy. She graduated from Biddeford High School.

Earlier, Sandra was employed as a bartender for Mr. Goodbar in Old Orchard Beach for several years. She met her husband Richard Levasseur, another local bartender and they got married and moved to Naples, Florida. The couple started their lives together and spent 20 years there and worked as bartenders for Vanderbilt Beach. Richard passed away in 2013 and Sandra moved back to Maine to be with her family. She worked at local restaurants and tended bar in Saco. Most recently, she was employed by Saco Sport and Fitness.

Sandra enjoyed going to the beach and lying in the sun. She spoke of the good times in Naples, Florida and how she missed the sun during the Maine winters. Sandra took great pride in her appearance, always well dressed and in the latest fashion. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents Claudia and Lucien Roy and by her husband Richard Levasseur.

She is survived by her sister Kimberly (Roy) Blais and husband Marc and brother Steven Roy and Ellen Cochran. She is also survived by nieces Jasmine Roy and Lauren Ianiro and husband Paul, nephews Patrick Roy, Nicholas Blais and Adam Blais and wife Allison and four great nephews.
