Seneca Jane Bard

Lyman

Seneca Jane Bard, 32, of Lyman, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on October 19, 1988, a daughter of Donald Bard and Terry (Bourget) Bard Seavey.

Seneca graduated from Thornton Academy, class of 2007. She also graduated from Southern Maine Community College.

Seneca Jane was in the hospitality industry employed by various hotels in Southern Maine. In 2011, she moved to San Diego to further her career, working for several resorts on the west coast. Returning to Maine in 2016, to be closer to family, she worked for Famous Dave's Catering, planning and coordinating many memorable events for families. She also worked for Cliff House in Ogunquit for a short time. While working, she enjoyed the interaction and friendships she made.

Seneca was a loving mother to her 1-year-old son, Jaxson.  She very much enjoyed motherhood and the joy that came with it raising her son.

Seneca had many interesting hobbies. She loved her pit bull Valentino, horses and motorcycles. Most of all, she loved her family and the time they spent together. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her grandfather Gerard W. Seavey.

She is survived by her grandparents, Penny Seavey, Jean and Carmel Bard, her father Donald Bard and his fiancée Cynthia Clark, her mother Terry Seavey, her son Jaxson Stiles Johnston and boyfriend Jon Johnston. She is also survived by siblings Joe Seavey Jr. and Jessica Camire, Audrey Vivarelli and husband Robert, Derek Dodge, Laura Gall and husband Philip and several nieces and nephews.
