Hollis Center
Stephen G Sheridan, 82, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in Kennebunk, Maine.
Steve was born in Berlin, NH on September 1, 1942, son of Wilfred and Arline (Perkins) Sheridan.
Steve attended school in Gorham, NH. He attained Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America. After graduating from Gorham High School, he attended Wentworth Technical Institute in Boston, MA receiving his degree in Machinist Technology.
Steve worked at various mfg/machine shops in MA, NH, and ME.
Steve was married in 1963 and had three children, Stephanie, Scott and Sarah. In 1987, Steve married the love of his life, Melinda "Mel" Lampron and went on to be married for thirty-eight wonderful years.
Steve loved life and everyone that was a part of his life. One of his old, dear friends would say, if you don't have a good time with Steve Sheridan, then you have a problem.
Steve loved fishing, boating and water sports. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle with Mel and friends, taking trips to Key West and Daytona Beach, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC , York, PA, Lake George, NY and a week-long trip riding the Cabot Trail in Canada, along with many other destinations.
Steve also loved to tell a good story, limerick or joke. He was known to all his friends and family to always be the one who made people laugh.
He had a love for all types of music, attending several concerts. When playing music, his motto was the louder, the better!
He also loved animals, especially his Golden Retrievers.
Steve was a proficient leather craftsman, carpenter, furniture maker and machinist. His love for woodworking included building a cedar strip grand laker and a canoe and countless wooden gifts and puzzles for those he loved.
In 1987, Steve and Mel built their dream home in Milan, NH, not ever having an argument. As long as Steve agreed with what Mel wanted, everything was fine.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Wilfred and mother, Arline Sheridan.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melinda "Mel" Sheridan. He is also survived by sister, Debbie Chapman (husband Charlie), daughters, Stephanie Anthony (husband Tom) and Sarah Hulsey (Fiancé Reggie) and son, Scott Sheridan (wife Jenny), along with ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
