Sylvester E. Ready

Sylvester E. Ready, 100, of Biddeford and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at St. Andre Healthcare Facility in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on August 30, 1922, a son of Daniel and Jeannie (Sinclair) Ready. He was a graduate of Biddeford High School, class of 1940.

In his 50's he obtained his real estate license and worked for the John Downing Real Estate Agency in Kennebunk for several years.  He retired from Garland Manufacturing in 1988 after 35 years of service.

Sylvester was an avid golfer and a member of Old Orchard Beach Country Club.

He was predeceased by his wife Lucille (Dube) Ready on November 26 2014 and all his siblings.

He is survived by one son Kenneth Ready and his wife Jeanne with whom he resided, sister-in-law Frances Ready and sister-in-law Jean Dube.

Services are private. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
