Theresa E. Poulin

Theresa E. Poulin, 92 of Saco, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Van Buren, on August 25, 1931, a daughter of Octave and Ozithe (Lavoie) Violette.

In 1942, Theresa and her family moved to Waterville. In 1950, she married the love of her life Raymond Poulin, their story began. The couple raised three children together. In the summer of 1968 they moved to Portland.

Theresa was employed by Maine Medical Center in Portland as a switchboard operator for many years. In 1990, Theresa and Raymond both retired and moved to Kenneth City, Florida. They enjoyed more than 30 years of retirement in Florida.

Her hobbies included candle pin bowling in the 1960's, earning several singles titles and more recently reading and going to the beach everyday for 20 years.

In June of 2021, Theresa moved back to Maine to be near her son, granddaughters and great granddaughter. She enjoyed all the special occasions, holidays and family gatherings. Her favorite pastime was playing ball with Gabriella. She will be sadly missed.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Raymond Poulin on November 10, 2020, one daughter Gail McLean, five brothers Philip Violette, Leo Violette, Gilbert Violette, Roland Volette and Harold Violette and four sisters Lucille Poulin, Jean King, Pauline Joseph and Constance Socoby.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Poulin of Jacksonville, Florida one son Raymond Poulin and wife Carolyn of Old Orchard Beach, six grandchildren Sara, Scott, Jason, Brian and Stacey, Amanda and Cheree and June and two great grandchildren Charlie and Gabriella, nieces and nephews.

Per Theresa's request, no services are being held. Memorial donations may be made to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME.  04074
