Thomas Gerard Blanchette, 57, of Saco, passed away August 2, 2023 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a courageous, seven year battle with cancer.

Tom was born in Biddeford on June 15, 1966, the only son of Robert and Yvette (Lamirande) Blanchette. He graduated from Thornton Academy in 1984. Tom, a lifelong resident of Saco, married his wife Lise (Dutil) in 1992. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Kayla and Megan. Tom was a talented and respected CNC Machinist for over 25 years working at various local manufacturing facilities; even working through the beginning stages of his cancer.

Tom's best times were spent with his family at his parent's (and then his) cottage on Ossipee Lake in Waterboro. The lake cottage was his "happy" place where he enjoyed many mornings fishing, and afternoons and evenings barbequing and sitting by his fire pit. Those memories are ones the family will cherish forever.

Tom was predeceased by his parents. He survived by his wife, Lise Blanchette, his daughter Kayla (Lamb) and her husband Justin, his daughter Megan and fiancé Jacob Hatch, his sister Diane (Mistos) and husband Jon, his sister Carol Robinson and life partner Norm Cantara, and two nieces Amy and Katie, and his beloved dog " TJ".

Visitation will be from 9AM - 11AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. A Funeral Outside of Mass will follow visitation at 11AM at Cote Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Thomas' name to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
