Thomas C. Glotzbecker, 77, of Saco, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on September 17, 1945, a son of Clair and Hazel (Kister) Glotzbecker.

Tom graduated from Edgewood Senior High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years spending one tour in Vietnam. He served as an air policeman and achieved the rank of Sergeant.

After the Air Force, Tom attended Kent State University. His earlier career path led him into management in the data processing industry. Later, Tom moved to the Biddeford Saco area and had a career in financial accounting for a large paper company.

Tom was a past commander of Ashtabula Army and Navy Union Garrigon 411. He was a life member of VFW and a member of the DAV. He also was a member of the American Legion and Biddeford Eagles.

Tom had many interesting hobbies. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and camping. Most of all, Tom enjoyed helping others. He forged many treasured friendships in life and cherished the relationships he made. He will be sadly missed by many.

Tom was predeceased by two brothers, David Glotzbecker and Daniel Glotzbecker.

He is survived by his brother Richard Glotzbecker (Carol), sister-in-law Diane Glotzbecker, two nieces, Karen Glotzbecker and Michelle Cates (Barry), three nephews, Jon Glotzbecker (Stephanie), Marc Glotzbecker (Pam), and Tim Glotzbecker (Julie), as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
