Victor E. Ledoux, 87, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 1, 2024.

He was born in Vinalhaven, Maine on November 11, 1936, a son of Armand and Leontine (Berube) Ledoux. He graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School, class of 1954.

After high school, Victor enlisted in the United States Air Force. While stationed in Germany he met his wife Rita (Speck) Ledoux. After his tour was over, they came back together and got married on June 4, 1959 and started their family.

Being from the generation of hard work, Victor worked as a master electrician for Dube Electrical, doing residential electrical and electrical for Pepperell Manufacturing. Later, he was employed by FMI for 20 years, retiring in 2000. For many years he would work all day and go out lobstering after work to help support his family. He also had a green thumb enjoying his garden. He was known in the community as the Tomato Man and people still look for his tomatoes at the end of his driveway today.

When time permitted, he enjoyed ocean fishing on Sunday and hunting deer.

He was predeceased by his wife Rita Ledoux on January 16, 2023, by siblings Jeannette, Lucienne, Marcel and Reny and son in law Paul Cote.

He is survived by four children Michael Ledoux and wife Jan, Christa Cote, Dawn Angus and partner Pete Peladeau and Victor Ledoux, seven grandchildren Stephanie, Valerie, Joseph, Christopher, Nicole, Matthew and Valentina and six great grandchildren Lincoln, Elouise, Gabrielle, Hadassah, Ruby and Naomi. He is also survived by one sister Adele Ledoux and nieces and nephews.
