Wilhermina "Maria" Rodriguez, 48, of Saco, Maine, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022,
surrounded by her loving family at home.

Maria was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on February 10, 1974, a daughter of Manuel and Julia
(Velez) Muriel. Her family moved to New York when she was still a young child. Maria
graduated from Portland High School, class of 1991. She married the love of her life, Felix
Rodriguez, and spent thirty-one, wonderful years together. They lived in Saco for over 17 years
together where they raised their three wonderful children: Shanisa, Shania, and Chance
Rodriguez.

Maria worked for over 11 years in customer service at BlueTarp Financial, where she enjoyed
working with both customers and coworkers. Throughout her several years of working, she spent
her entire time fighting her cancer with a smile and a strong spirit.

Her passions included swimming, dancing, singing, and cooking. She loved sitting down and
watching Hallmark movies, decorating for holidays, especially Christmas, and reading her
prayers at bedtime, since her love for God was immeasurable. But, most of all, Maria loved the
time she spent with family and friends. She could light up a room with one smile and kept a
beautiful positive attitude throughout any situation. She was a strong, loving woman who loved
life more than anything.

Also, Maria loved angels, spending time by the ocean, and looking up at the night sky, especially
at the stars too. She brought so much joy to those around her and made anyone feel like family
with a plate of food and a smile. She truly had the spirit of an angel and now she flies freely with
her glorious white wings in heaven. Maria was a shining star, her love and laughter will be
greatly missed by all who knew her.

Maria is survived by her husband Felix Rodriguez, and her three adult children: Shanisa
Rodriguez, Shania Rodriguez, and Chance Rodriguez and her six siblings: Justina Velez, Virgen
Maria Tracey, Frankie Cintron, Junior Muriel, Lissette Muriel, and Luis Muriel as well as all her
nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Monday,
August 15, 2022, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco.
