Yolande J. Labonte, 89, of Biddeford, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Saco on December 17, 1933, a daughter of Gerard and Mary Jane (Lapointe) Gosselin. She was educated from Biddeford schools.

At the young age of nine, little did Yolande realize, she met her future husband Ronald. They reconnected at the age of 22 and were married on July 4, 1955.

Yolande was from the generation of hard work. She worked in various industries including Bruce Shoe, Morning Star, Fiber Materials Inc. and retired from Lynflex in 1997.

She had many interesting hobbies. She was an avid sports fan following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She also enjoyed the thrill of scratch tickets, the mystery of searching for words in her word search books and always keeping her house in meticulous condition. Most of all, Yolande loved her family and friends. Many special memories were made that the family will hold on to and cherish forever. She will be sadly missed.

Mrs. Labonte was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford.

She was predeceased by siblings Giles Gosselin and Suzanne Bourcier.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Ronald Labonte, daughters Sharon Frazier and husband Kevin and Lisa Labonte and wife Patty. She is also survived by three grandchildren Shelby Frazier, Cody Frazier and wife Logan, Mikayla Gouin and husband Ethan, two great grandchildren Trevyn and Jack and greatly anticipated the arrival of her third great grandson of Liam, nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from 11AM – 1PM with a Funeral Service at 1PM Monday, March 27, 2023, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco.
