Old Orchard Beach

Yvonne Theresa DeLorenzo, 80, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Biddeford, Maine on December 4, 1944, a daughter of William and Jeannette (Lambert) Brousseau. She grew up and was educated in the Old Orchard Beach school system, and graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School, class of 1965.

In her younger years Yvonne worked at various jobs in the surrounding community.  Her longest and most rewarding position was with Massabesic High School where she worked in the cafeteria preparing food and serving the students.

Yvonne looked forward to gatherings with family and friends. She enjoyed her regular outings with her sisters and cousins.

Yvonne had a number of hobbies and interests, but some of the more notable ones were her love for murder-mystery novels, and more recently, murder-mystery movies and TV shows.  She always appreciated a good meal at one of her favorite restaurants, with lobster being at the top of her list of menu items.  Dear to her heart was her beautiful Samoyed Husky, Snowball, who was a source of companionship and enjoyment to Yvonne.

Above all, Yvonne cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a giving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Jeannette Brousseau.

Yvonne is survived by her three sons, Richard DeLorenzo, Christopher DeLorenzo with wife Beth, and Steven DeLorenzo; by her grandchildren, Jenna and Jordan; by her sisters, Joan Woodward and Theresa Thomas; as well as by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
